Review of your medical file
At this stage, we proceed to the creation of your medical file, by inviting you to provide us with the necessary information concerning your state of health (allergies, medical history, blood tests, X-rays…). We will then forward your medical file to the specialist who will best respond to your medical needs. He will establish a complete diagnosis and propose the best treatment and surgery. From then on, we will send you a personalized estimate detailing all the costs of your care and your medical stay in Tunisia. We will also propose financing options if you wish.

Your decision
Based on the proposed treatment and the corresponding documentation that we will make at your disposal, you will be invited to observe a reflection period of 7 days before confirming your decision. During this period, we will remain at your entire disposal for any further information, compared to your care, which will allow you to make an informed decision.
Regarding your health, the final decision is coming back to you.

Planning your trip
Once you have made your decision, we will meticulously prepare the different steps of your care: making appointments with doctors and hospitals, booking and purchasing airline tickets, hotel reservations, preparing your assistance and accompaniment at your destination, travel health recommendations and vaccinations (if necessary), organizing your tourist activities (if applicable), arranging your companion’s travel (if applicable). Your medical trip will also be an opportunity to visit Tunisia and to enjoy pleasant and enjoyable moments by the Mediterranean Sea. A detailed program of your medical stay will be given to you before your departure.

Your trip
Once you arrive at your destination, you will be greeted at the airport by our local correspondent (fluent in French) who will assist you throughout your medical stay in Tunisia.
He will make sure that your pre-established program runs smoothly: travel by private car, administrative procedures for admission to the hospital, pre- and post-operative medical appointments, convalescence, tourist tours, etc. Your care will be assured by a competent medical team, in a state-of-the-art hospital structure to receive the best health services.
Upon discharge from the hospital, your surgeon will provide you with follow-up recommendations as well as your complete operative file and report (in French or English according to your choice).
You will also be accommodated in the best 4 and 5 star hotels where you will spend your convalescence.

Upon your return to Canada, Medcare Vacance will continue to take care of you. We will stay in contact with you throughout your recovery period.
